Sunday Morning Small Groups
Christian Living - This group engages in open-minded discussions on the difficult questions of faith and the practice of Christianity. Currently, we are using FaithLinks, a weekly United Methodist curriculum which examines current news stories and their implications for our faith. Widely varying points of view are shared in a trusting environment. Room 117a Contemporary Christians in Today's World - Do you enjoy discussion? Do you enjoy sharing opinions and ideas? If so, this is the class for you! The various materials we use challenge each of us to confirm that Christianity is not a spectator sport. Warm fellowship encourages an open forum for anyone seeking a closer relationship to the church. Room 116 Journeys - This class meets Sundays from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. Our current Bible study takes an in-depth look at the book of Exodus. No previous Bible knowledge is assumed. A participant study book is provided. We move slowly through the Bible and allow plenty of time for study and discussion. You'll gain an appreciation for the stories of the Bible and the authors and communities of faith that shaped these stories. Library Short-term Classes - Throughout the year, we offer a variety of short-term classes. These 1-week to 8-week classes include such topics as Bible study, spiritual development, prayer, and current issues. These classes are a great way to get to know others better as you grow together in faith. [see below for current short-term class] Traveler's Class - Bible study is the primary focus of the class. We have a worthwhile discussion of Scripture's meaning and how to relate God's Word to our lives in today's world. Traveler's Class also provides additional opportunities for Christian fellowship and outreach. We use the lectionary-based Adult Bible Study curriculum published by our United Methodist Publishing House. Library GAB Bible Study - We are currently exploring the Scriptural bacground that undergirds why we believe what we believe. Our group welcomes you any Sunday for lively discussion and warm fellowship! Room 120 Seekers - Your Time-Starved Marriage: How to Stay Connected at the Speed of Life. If you've ever felt over-scheduled and under-connected with your partner, this is a study series you won't want to miss.
