SISTERS: Bible Study for Women

  • The Monday group meets from 10:00 to 11:00 am in room 102. We'll begin this fall with The Evolution of Prayer - a 7-week study that takes us on a journey through the earliest Biblical prayers and ends with the most current methods of prayer. We'll dig deeply into Scripture and early Christian history, but also allow plenty of time to practice each type of prayer we explore. We'll conclude with a group trip to a local prayer labyrinth. There is no fee for this class. Begins September 13. Childcare is available. Please register by e-mailing our Director of Christian Education at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. • The Thursday group meets from 9:30 to 10:30 am in room 218. Our first study this fall will be a look at the books of Ruth & Esther. During this 2-week session, we'll explore the only two books of the Bible named after women and discover how their stories still provide inspiration today. There is no fee for this class. Begins September 16. Please register by e-mailing our Director of Christian Education at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Open Bible Study

Tuesdays at 1:00 pm beginning September 14 - Strange Stories of the Bible is a 4-week study that will look more closely at some of the oddest stories of the Bible. We'll discover a talking donkey, a person turned into salt, and wonder about being fed by birds. At first glance, these stories seem far-fetched, but is there more to them than what it appears? Find out by joining us in room 218 beginning Tuesday, September 14, at 1:00 and find out. This is a fun study you won't want to miss! There is no fee for this class and no registration is required. Childcare is available with advance notice. Friends and family are always welcome!

Book Groups

  • The Sunday Night Women's Book Group will start this fall with the brand new book You Can't Do Everything, So Do Something: Small Ways to Change the World. In this uplifting and empowering book, author Shane Stanford reminds us that each person truly can have a positive effect on someone's life. If you've ever felt overwhelmed listening to the evening news, this is a book and discussion time you won't want to miss. We'll meet each Sunday, beginning September 19, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm in room 118. Materials fee, payable at the first class, is $11.50. Childcare is provided. • Our Men's Book Club meets once a month, usually on the 2nd Sunday of the month. All men are welcome to join the discussion; each person is responsible for obtaining his own copy of the book. No registration is necessary -- just show up ready to discuss the month's book.
