Nurture Committee 

The Nurture Committee supports the spiritual journey of each participant in the Concord Trinity UMC congregation. Nurture focuses on and contacts families whose attendance and worship activities have been interrupted for a period of time. The committee sponsors the Sunday morning hospitality table located in the Fellowship Hall and keeps in contact with the homebound and extended care members by taking flowers and visiting with them during the Lenten and Advent season plus sending cards and providing electronic copies of sermons for them on a regular basis. To address the needs of the congregation and the community, short term programs are offered throughout the year which are included but not limited to the following: Greeters for Sunday morning, Health Fair, Pictorial Directory, Grief Support, Play Day for Preschoolers/Care Givers.

In times of mourning and if the family desires, a coordinator arranges and serves a meal for the family after the memorial service. The Care Team provides pastoral support by assisting with the visits to the homebound or those in extended care facilities. They have been trained to assist in giving sacraments of Holy Communion once a quarter. If an emergency arises, the team also arranges transportation, a meal or other support as needed.
